In the realm of mobile communication networks, the evaluation of efficiency focuses on user-centric aspects.
With billions of users globally and significant economic value, mobile communication networks
play a fundamental role in the world. The performance of communication networks depends on a set
of key indicators and criteria. Among these, metrics like call quality, network reliability, and service
continuity hold paramount importance. In this context, data is collected using mechanisms like MDT
(Minimization of Drive Tests), enabling the evaluation of user behavior and the implementation of strategies
for providing higher quality services. These strategies often require addressing user demands, privacy
concerns, network security, and balancing costs with quality improvement and user satisfaction.
With the increasing complexity of mobile communication networks, evaluating network performance
has become more challenging. This complexity is further compounded by the integration of advanced
equipment, posing additional challenges to network management. To address these issues, networkoriented
approaches based on standardized methodologies are applied to address challenges like high
costs and operational difficulties. Given the dynamic nature of mobile communication networks, this report
provides a comprehensive overview of network optimization strategies, frameworks for performance
improvement, and tools for network diagnosis and optimization. The findings presented in this report
emphasize future research directions, highlighting critical areas for further investigation, including MDT,
security, operational costs, and advanced methodologies.
