Abstract
Nowadays, knowledge management is being considered as competitive field for organizations. Variety types of organizations and institutions with various structures have recognized the importance of knowledge management and trying with learning, implementing and maintaining it to increase their competitive power of themselves. So Project-based companies not exempt from this trend and due to their dynamic structure retain the knowledge obtained from various projects for using in their future projects. In this study, it’s tried with reviewing the literatures and using integrated approach to study the fundamental competencies achieved of knowledge management in the context of project management, also analyze the relationship between these competencies with the concept of competitive advantage.
For this purpose, first its expressed general definitions of the concepts used in this research then with using these key words, past related researches get examined to identify the research gaps. Simultaneously MAPNA Company is studied from the perspective of knowledge competencies.
By examining previous researches the Constituent elements of any of competencies be determined and to propose their relations with other parts of knowledge management as a model.
The obtain competencies are included: Organizational Agility, Competitive Intelligence, Network capabilities, Environmental benefits, Organizational Capabilities. Then using structural equations approach, partial least squares method and PLS software the data in MAPNA Company Analyzed.
According to the study objectives 10 hypotheses were examined and research findings show Knowledge management strategies and knowledge management infrastructures in MAPNA Company Through knowledge management processes influencing fundamental competencies and these competencies with a mediating effect of basic competencies obtained from knowledge management have a positive impact on competitive advantage of Project-based companies.
