Abstract:
Public transit sources right sharing among passengers is the aim of public transit with fixed route. In case of decreased or scattered passenger transport services request, due to the lack of proper flexibility in routing and time schedule transit sources sharing possibility decreases and the system is not able to respond properly. A type of substitution service called flexible route transit service which combines the public transit with some components of request- based transit would be accounted as a suitable replacement, since it is able to provide services for the scattered request pattern, also meet the needs of inhabitants in these zones. In the present study, in addition to surveying the mentioned model of transit, the possibility of substituting this service with jitney in Tehran, district 4 in Elm-o-Sanat region as a case study was analyzed. In this research, the applied approach is Discrete-Continuous combined stimulation and multipurpose enhancement based on decision variables via the Any Logic 7 Software, also defining a suitable strategy following the performance measures surveying and analyzing. The model includes formulas to estimate the redundant service time, the cost and its interest in the particular service, besides the efficiency of the model has been surveyed.
