Abstract:
Development of markets has changed the competition face from the company level to supply chain level. Today, many companies have focused on performance of supply chains to achieve competitive advantage in the market. The proper performance of supply chain plays a key role in the success of an organization and achieving its goals. Therfore, identifying the existing supply chain structures and developing a supply chain performance evaluation system is necessary to identify weaknesses and plan a continuous improvement program.
Different models are developed for performance evaluation of supply chain. In this study, a comprehensiveness model, that is SCOR model, is used for performance evaluation of supply chain management in Tehran Wagon Manufacturing Company (TWM). SCOR model is an operation reference model based on reengineering, benchmarking and best practices concepts.
The SCOR model includes 3 levels. The main processes include plan, supply, make, delivery and referrals. The model consists of five performance attributes that is reliability, responsiveness, agility, cost and asset management and every level contains its criteria to measure performance.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate supply chain performance of Tehran Wagon Manufacturing Company by applying SCOR model and also suggest recommendation to improve performance of supply chain of the company. For this purpose, by interview with industry experts, 13 criteria in five areas of SCOR model were determined and weighted by using AHP technique. Finally the performance of the 8 most important suppliers of TWM Company were investigated and evaluated and related recommendations proposed.
