Abstract
Door Control Unit (DCU) is one of the control equipments in Platform Screen Door (PSD) system which its safe operation have an important role in passenger safety on platform and Prevention of train delay in station. DCU and PSD not produced in Iran and import, installation and support costs are expensive. On the other hand, maximum failure rate in doors control system is for DCU, so its failure analysis and reliability evaluation have special importance that any research not done yet about it. In this thesis, design a DCU for PSD according to Tehran metro by study on DCU of several different companies and by using related researchs. All components that used in this design are available in Iran market, easily. Also, Probable failures in hardware of designed circuit reviewed by Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and applied necessary reforms. Then, reliability by Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) according to IEC61508 standard are calculated for circuit safety evaluation which lead to SIL3. Finally, the designed circuit is simulated in different scenarios for performance evaluation which lead to expected results.
