Aging of E-glass/polymeric composite materials exposed to distilled water, salty water and acidic solution as the environmental condition has been investigated. The Hetron 922 as a vinyl ester resin is chosen for this study. Since the previous researches are focused on the experimental results, in this research also an analytical investigation is taken into account. By recognizing of composite materials applications in the environments, three different environmental conditions such as distilled water, salty water (with three different concentrations) and acidic solution (sulfuric acid 99% with three different concentrations) are considered. The specimens have been exposed to these conditions for 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks and 20 and 70 oC temperatures. Finally, the specimens have been tested by three-point bending test. The results show a significant influence of all environmental conditions, especially for 70 oC. For a comprehensive analysis of properties change in specimens, weight changes, strength and modulus degradations have been investigated. Experimental results show that the acidic solution, distilled water and salty water have caused maximum degradation, respectively. To forecasting the long-term durability, the Arrhenius relations are employed. As a result, 57 years forecasting of properties degradation for some of the environmental conditions has been forecasted.
