Abstract
This study was conducted with aims to Identify and prioritize challenges and solutions for the food industry export competitiveness in Mahram Production Company in the years of 2016. Research methods based on functional purpose and the data collection was a descriptive- survey. The statistical population consisted of 82 managers and experts from the business and export departments of Mahram Production company (headquartered in Alborz industrial city, Limoundis factory, Mahban factory and afarin behgol factory are located in Shiraz, Tehran and karaj respectively), which according to census method, these 82 individuals have been considered as the sample size. The data collection was based on standard questionnaire Porter’s diamond model (1999) with 45 items. Using Cronbach’s alpha method, the reliability of the questionnaire was more than 0.7 for all the dimensions, which this shows an acceptable reliability for the research instrument. Moreover, content validity was employed in order to assess the validity, which the results indicated the validity of the survey instrument (AVE>0.5). The obtained data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Smart PLS software and the final model was presented. The results confirm a positive and significant impact of Porter's diamond model factors, including demand conditions, Firm strategy, structure and rivalry, Related Supporting Industries, The Role of Government, unforeseen events (Chance) and factors of production at a confidence level of 99 percents on the food industry export competitiveness in Mahram Production Company. Friedman test results showed differences between the variables. These differences had the impacts upon the food industry export competitiveness; i.e. factors of production, government related and supporting industries, unforeseen events or Chance, strategy, structure and rivalry and demand conditions respectively.
