Abstract:
According to prevalence of losses of Intervertebral Discs and pain in the Lumbar Segments and high costs, do researchers for prevention and treatment is one of the priorties. Because laboratory studies on the organisms or human dead body is too difficult for this purpose, validated modeling and numerical simulations can be a perfect solution in this studies and have more accurate biomechanical behavior. So, the main object of this research is Finite Element Modeling of Lumbar Intervertebral Discs of Spine that based on this studies we can investigate dependence of behavior of the Discs and the time. Intervertebral Discs has not Elastic behavior and by passing the time, behavior has changed. So, at first behavior of the discs simulate Elastic and then according to Kelvin-Voigt model will assume Viscoelastic. In the following, we present the result of Elastic and Viscoelastic model excluding the Ligaments and after that including the Ligaments. Elastic and Viscoelastic model including the Ligaments in most cases is match better with experimental data.
