Abstract:
Nowadays one of the global problems of IT industry is the availability of mass contents, webpages, videos, images, and live TV and radio programs to the users around the world. As known, one of the areas of competition among content producers in the world is to provide services of acceptable quality for users. Given the high expenditure of bandwidth and maintenance of servers in datacenters, content production companies are faced with the issue of very high fixed costs, a fact which is not cost-effective at all. Therefore, the interaction between content delivery companies and content production companies can significantly influence the fair and high-quality delivery of the produced content and the decrease in fixed costs, especially that of bandwidth. Due to sanctions and domestic security issues, Iran has completely fallen behind in this technology in comparison with other countries. Considering the great portion of content production and high cost of bandwidth in Iran, this country should be equipped with such technology to prevent the outflow of currency for bandwidth. In addition, the electronic government services and many other content services of good quality can be provided for people in Iran. The presence of such infrastructure will also be very appropriate for domestic businesses and the delivery of many other domestic contents. Thus, users can be provided with very diverse services on this infrastructure. Given the importance of content delivery companies in the global IT industry, this thesis deals with the structure of content delivery networks. Then it investigates Iran’s Internet and how the provinces are connected in this country. Finally, the proposed model is introduced in the conceptual design phase of content delivery networks for Iran.I simulate the suggested model with Opnet simulation software and after that simulate some traffic load on the network. At the end for make sure from the model we measurement some parameter like response time and delay and the load on the server’s and the router’s and compare the data together.
