Abstract:
Medical imaging is an important tool in the diagnosis and treatment is the topic. Each medical imaging modalities provide valuable information about the member. Sometimes this information are complementary and their combination gives more information to the doctor. As for the optimal use of information of medical images, can be used as image fusion process. Complementary information echocardiography and cardiac MRI, in the diagnostic process are very helpful. The aim of merging these two modalities, the information integrated the two to achieve the maximum information and benefits. In this thesis, aimed to integrate images echocardiography and cardiac MRI, the corresponding frames in the sequence, as image registration are acquired. To do this, interpolated images cardiac MRI done, then spatial registration the corresponding frames in the sequence will take. Finally, with the goal of integration, averaging methods, wavelet transforms, Fourier transform, the calculation of basic components and combines these with each other, and finally, innovative method of calculating the phase is used. The results are qualitatively by a physician, and quantitatively by parameters of mutual information, correlation, standard deviation, entropy and also measure the level of the left ventricle compared. Survey results show that the use of methods for calculating the phase and spatial averaging, the best results are qualitatively in terms cardiologist. Considering the level LV of the heart in one cycle, it became LV mined in the phase calculation method more similar to the 0.94 level LV measured by the Physician's. It also estimates the standard deviation and entropy phase calculation method respectively with 0.23 and 4.39 had the highest values compared to other results.
