Abstract:
The generation of the cheap technologies, the use of transaction processing system and the growing expansion of application softwares, have brought about the large amount of information for users and organizations. And this information is considered, as their most important assests. Generally organizations usually face the congestion of data and the lack of knowledge. In the most situations the data can be found in various resources. Therefore integrating the data for achieving analytical reports takes time and incures expenses. Business Intelligence or BI is utilized for eliminating this deficiency. BI is the process of changing the raw data to useful information; in order to make more effective strategies for the goals of organizations, provide greater profits for the business furthermore, according to the expansion of electronic businesses and growth of virtual enterprises.
We face this question that how a virtual organization can use BI in the most effective way, with its changing connection whit costumers, presence of external organizational factors, obligatory coordination with outside partners and permanent refreshment of data. In this study, the effective factors in utilization of BI in a virtual organization were recognized and anticipated. This was done in the form of questioning the experts and employing statistical methods like exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling and conceptual modeling.
These methods were used in order to recognize and categorize the external and internal organizational factors for realization of BI in virtual organization. On the basis of the results of this study, 15 factors along with 51 indicators are produced in the form of conceptual model. The most important factors are updating the data, guaranteeing the security of data, the presence of a system which gathers the data from outside of the organization, permanent coordination with supply chain, outside partners and attention to innovation.
