Abstract:
Suppliers can play a decisive role on company performance regarding price, quality and delivery which are high-weighing factors in the relationship between the purchaser (company) and the seller (supplier). In recent decades, an important approach in management of chain of provision has been raised titled Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
Of course the appearance of such systems is due to an increase of dependence on contractors and suppliers in companies and organizations.
To increase profit the companies must be able to act on replacing the inefficient supplier in the shortest possible time and correctly analyze and evaluate their strategic relationship with the suppliers and be in effective interaction with their suppliers.
Systems of relationship management with the suppliers offer tools through which interactive, expansive and strategic relationship with the suppliers can be developed. These systems manage the strategic procurement and supply process in the company and also among multiple companies or organizations. It has been shown by experience that successful companies and organizations are those who are in meaningful and permanent relationship with their approved suppliers.
With regard to the importance of the above mentioned fact, this thesis seeks to engineer management of relationships with suppliers in permanent and competitive conditions in companies and business organizations like Bahman Motor Company through TrueSRM method. It must be noted that TrueSRM method is based on engaging all effective parameters on the type of cooperation with the supplier, classification of purchasing strategies of parts and developing strategic levels for each supplier in order to anticipate, diagnose and improve future relations with the suppliers.
Also to improve strategic levels of suppliers’ relationships, a soft system model named SODA I is used which is explained in detail in chapters three and four.
