In this study, production of intermetallic foams nickel - titanium by powder mixture of them using combustion synthesis process have been examined, the nickel and titanium powders with a molar ratio of 1: 1 with the amount of foaming agent were cold pressed in a circular cylinder. Compact samples were heating at high speed under protective atmosphere in induction furnaces. Due to the exothermic reaction between nickel and titanium, products were porous NiTi intermetallic compound. Product’s characterizations were analyzed with XRD and SEM devices. Effect of the amount of foaming agent, particle size powders of nickel, geen density on the structur, pore size and distribution in the product were studied.
