Call admission control plays an important role in providing optimal service quality in wireless networks, which implies a decision on the acceptance, support for a new call and reject a call, in the access point for the network.
As a preventive policy, for keeping the number of network calls to reduce congestion and drop calls in the network, and thus is considered optimal network quality of service guarantees.
Due to the limited channel bandwidth network capacity and the saturation of calls too, thereby increasing the transmission delay, jitter and packet loss, which is likewise resulted in the loss of service quality.
Therefore,
in this dissertation, call admission control by measuring the wireless channel capacity at any moment, evaluate the channel idle time and Due to congestion of the network make a decision to establish or reject a call.
This call admission control is designed as an Opensips module That when establishing a new call by the user through the socket connection with channel idle time which is defined on the access point, Earned channel information and SIP server performs the decision to reject or accept calls.
After deploying call admission control module by analyzing the results of experiments, it was observed Suggested methods for the control and management of call acceptance has provided well for the quality of service parameters to obtain optimal.
