Abstract
One of the most important issues about tunnel construction is the tunnel stability in environmental conditions and interaction between them. The ground settlement at the top of the tunnel building alignment is the noticeable problem in this case.
Tunneling in urban areas need more consideration, because the non-control movements under the residential regions lead to increase in loading on building foundations and consequently cause building damages. The settlement of roadways and foundations has a significant effect on the deterioration of buildings especially in urban areas.
Because of high density of population near Haft-e-tir subway station in 6th line and presence of residential buildings in this area, effect of tunnel excavation on the settlement of constructions and ground has been considered to ba able to prevent the damage of ground buildings by considering standards.
In addition, the influence of the eccentricity of the load , buildings dimensions , burden and stiffness of constructions have been evaluated by using Finite Element method and Plaxis 3D Tunnel software. According to the General Terms of Yas and Zomorrod buildings which had been located in this area, the maximum settlement of Yas and Zomorrod buildings were estimated 2.76 mm and 7.81 mm respectively. Also, the results had acceptable accordance with those of instrumentation and based on the criteria Rankine two buildings were in low and middle-class vulnerability. In addition, the impact of different scenarios of the structure eccentricity, length and width, overload and bulding stiffness were evaluated.
