Abstract:
Because of increasing speed in railway tracks and developing of science and technology in this field, the importance of designing of geometric parameters of railway tracks and tolerance of them specified. In this thesis, I modelled the parameters of horizontal profile in different speeds and showed the effect of changing of these parameters in derailment safety.
For calibration of model, after field testing in Tehran-Pishva railway track and received necessary data, get the Simence train data from Mapna company and information of track for 2 curves with 800 and 2000 meter radius from office of track in railway, I modelled 2 curves and received the lateral acceleration as an output. The difference of RMS between test and model is 8.5% and it’s acceptable.
For gradient, I showed the effect of train in this parameter with modelling of track with two different trains, Simence and TGV train. Furthermore, the effect of speed in gradient showed with modelling 2 ideal curves in speeds 300 and 350 km/hr and specified that increasing of speed change the Nadal criteria up to 8%.
For vertical curve, I modelled this parameter in ideal curves in different speeds, and the effect of changing of type of vertical curves in derailment safety specified. Effect of type of vertical curve, according to modelling results, in unloading criteria is about 5%. Results of this project show the remarkable effect of speed on derailment safety.
