Nano Metal Organic Frameworks have low density, very high surface area with a large percentage of transition metals that can act as catalytic sites. Metals in the MOF structure are as Lewis acids, so this property makes MOFs of interest for potential applications as heterogeneous catalyst in organic reactions. In this work, we utilized a series of MOFs {M(BDC)(DABCO)0.5 , M= Co, Cu, Ni and Zn} as heterogeneous catalyst in acylation reaction. These frameworks synthesized by a solvent-free ball milling process. Then, Catalytic behavior of them was investigated in acylation of alcohols, amines and aldehydes with acetic anhydride. These reactions were done under irradiation microwave as a green method. The advantages of the method are short reaction time, high yields, avoiding the use of solvents in the reaction, easy separation of the catalyst without any significant loss of its activity after a few runs for the model reaction.
