In this thesis, common mode voltage as a main reason of raising shaft voltage and bearing current, is determined. Then, frequency model of voltage source inverter and induction motor is presented. Abuse effects of common mode voltage in the inverters which are used in railway systems, are analyzed. In the following, active diode clamped inverter and its advantages rather than conventional diode clamped inverter are investigated. Also, common mode voltage in these inverters is analyzed. Finally, by using the method of this thesis, the common mode voltage is decreased in the various conditions.
