In this work, we aim to introduce seashell as a biodegradable and biocompatible nanocatalyst that is highly available and without any pre-functionalization is applicable to catalyst the synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles multicomponent reaction with a very high efficiency. In the presence of this nanocatalyst, the reaction is performed in a soft and solvent-free synthetic condition at a very short time. Also this green catalyst, due to heterogeneous advantage can be easily separated from the reaction medium. To investigate the morphology and characterization of the prepared nanobiocomposite, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), thermal gravimetric analysis/ differential thermal analysis (TGA/DTA) are carried out on it. The confirmations of the synthesized products were performed using FT-IR, 1H NMR analyses.
