These days, the global competition, scariness of qualified human force, increasing the application of technology in different aspects of organizational life requests for the reduction of required time to acquire experience and knowledge.
Nowadays the organizations have concluded that by applying knowledge management procedures, they can utilize their mental capacities in line with improved organizational performances.
Innovation process is dependent deeply to the knowledge, then human force and awareness should be regarded as the main influencing factors which are to be regarded in any business environment. Both of knowledge management & innovation can generate value for the organization and improve the organizational performances.
From the other side one of the important pillars for investment in knowledge based economy is the utilization of investment founds & banks. Then in line with this reality, the current research is intended to apply the open innovation and knowledge management affairs in banking industries to investigate their impacts on improvement of organizational performances.
For this purpose, a relationship between knowledge management, open innovation and organizational performance as a conceptual model is looked for in a research affair & the outcome is tested in “Bank Saderat of Iran”.
To make the conceptual model, the Structural Equations are utilized.
To validate the conceptual model of the standard questionnaire, expert's idea and SPSS software were utilized and thirty one questionnaires were distributed between the managers and experts of the intended bank dealing with knowledge management issues in the various branches of "Bank Saderat Ir@n". The end, results were analyzed by Smart-PLS software and the outcome of investigation has revealed that, organizations should use knowledge management as an important element for creating the innovation and use of the new concept of open innovation if they seek a competitive edge for global competition.
