Abstract:
Elastomer’s usage in industry especially automotive industry is noticeable because of their properties. There are many different elastomeric components in automotive, so in order to design and simulate these parts, undrestanding their behavior and their constitutive equation is necessary. After finding out the constitutive models, for numerical analysis, rate dependent and undependent, some material parameters are neede. These coefficients obtained from uniaxial test. The procedure of finding these parameters out is also explained in this thesis. Elastomeric bushing’s behavior under torsion, axial amd radial loading is also analyzed and show that the more percentage of the filler, the more stiffness of the material, but this dependency is not linear. It is also shown that the trend of the behavior is dependent with rate of loadings, and filler percentage effects just the material stiffness.
