Abstract
Due to increase in competitiveness in global market, today, the production and industrial businesses need changes in their current products, or to develop and introduce new products not only for their progress, rather for their survival. The process of producing new products which serve as a competitive advantage for the manufacturing organizations is a multi-aspect process, including various aspects such as interaction with the innovation networks, collaboration between research and development units and the marketing units, existence of an efficient chain of supply and benefitting from knowledge and skills of multi-purpose teams.
In fact, agility, in the context of capability and fast reaction of an organization in using as well as rapid and simultaneous interaction among technology, staff and management through establishing fast communication infra-structures in providing targeted, efficient and planned response to the constant and unpredicted changes in customers’ demands and market environmental conditions via on time identification of opportunities. With respect to meaning of agility in manufacturing the products, the results of the research show the human forces, new technologies, flexibility of production lines, products and structure factors, and organizational culture are effective in producing products agility. However, by attention to the views of respondents, there are differences in the ranking of the factors.
The goal of present research is to identify and rank effective factors on agile manufacturing in meat products companies. In this research, the statistic population was foods industries complex (production line of meat products, the statistical population of this research covered all active companies in sausage and salami production (41 companies). However, due to the probability in individuals’ responses, 200 of the individuals were selected based on accessibility through judgment sampling methods; and ultimately, around one hundred questionnaires were used for due analysis.
