Nowadays, radar cross section (RCS) reduction is a challenging subject in military industries such as absorber coatings, artificial impedance sheets and frequency selective surfaces (FSS). The radome is made of two words radar and dome, that it means a dome coating for protecting from radar systems and antenna to prevent the interference of the waves in the range of antenna performance. Radomes have two types of electromagnetic and mechanical. FSSs radome is an array of band pass FSSs which it has shaped to different geometries such as a cone. This coating transmits the wave in performing frequency band of antenna, acts as a PEC for out of this frequency range and scatters radiated waves to the antenna. So, it makes RCS reduction for out of performing frequency of the antenna. In this project, we have presented a FSS that reduces RCS of an antenna of a military airplane which is a slot array using FSS for out of antenna frequency band which is 9.3 to 10.2 GHz. The unit of designed radome is a square loop slot that it includes two layers. In fabrication, it has fabricated from flexible materials that we can easily shape it into a cone. The presented product has nearly 1dB insertion loss. This conical radome has 56cm radius and its angle is 45 degrees.
