Abstract:
Production and marketing are two major sections in each institute and interactive effect of these two factors influence the overall profit of enterprise.
The Proposed model that has been developed in this field show that due to dimension and complexity of the problem, approximate algorithms such as heuristic and meta-heuristic methods or exact methods can be used with a non-linear exponential function for expenditure and gain.
Geometric programming is one of the most superior methods for solving these kinds of problems that has this ability to deal with problems with a high degree of difficulty. The advantage of such method is its confident description of global optimal in the case of posynomial problems. Researchers indicated that every non-linear algebraic model can be converted at least to a synomial geometric programming. Since there is no assurance about searching global optimal in synomial form, the essence for utilizing approaches for converting to posynomial form seems to be required.
In this dissertation, four aggregated model was developed for explaining production and marketing of deteriorating product in three level supply chain containing distributors, wholesalers, and retail sales. Primary results indicated that with modulating the affecting parameters such as demand, inventory holding, inventory deteriorating, set-up cost and etc have great influence on overall revenue. At the end, one numerical model is analyzed for each model and the applied aspects of mention model were assessed by taking the advantage of a case study.
