Using of renewable energy sources have taken priority in recent years due to the strict limit on fossil fuels sources and their environmental impacts. According to the need of designing a production and distribution network for these sources, in this research a location-routing-inventory problem has been proposed for designing of a distribution network for algae fuel ,which consist of a biomass from algae production facility, distribution facilities, and bio-refineries. The proposed model is able to reduce the system cost such as locating of distribution facilities costs, transportation costs, and mean inventory costs (holding, shortage, ordering and procurement). The model is also able to help decision makers in choosing optimal locations for each location facility, ordering of algae fuel from each facility, allocation of each bio-refinery to this facilities, and best route selection. Furthermore, in the second objective, we reduce the environmental pollution of the network. Since the model belongs to NP-hard problem classes, two Meta Heuristic algorithms have been proposed, NSGA-II and MOPSO. In addition, the performance of proposed model has been assessed and compared by running different size problems. Finally, the results have been analyzed and suggestion for future researches in this area has been made.
