Among the medical facilities for children and nursing, there are special care facilities, where children and newborns with the highest level of care under the supervision of the most skilled personnel with advanced facilities are being treated. In this project, we will investigate the characteristics of children and infants' critical care spaces in Iranian society using an evidence-based design approach.
The current study is based on preliminary data. In order to collect the preliminary data, sample scanning was conducted in the study area of Mofid Children's Hospital. The sample size includes 100 hospital staff and 100 parents of children admitted to the ciritical care unit. Six different questionnaires, all of which have been approved for the collection of evidence-based information, have been used to collect information.
The design of the infant and pediatric care unit as a family-friendly room with a decentralized nursing station leads to increased patient / family / patient safety and satisfaction, as well as reducing stress and length of stay of the patient.
