Tehran, a 200-year-old city, doesn`t have history and buildings such as Isfahan, Yazd and Shiraz, but it has an identity like all of the cities in the world. The identity that has been lost in the unconventional construction and it is our duty to retrieve its valuable components. One of these components is the capital's first street, Lalezar. Over the past decade, the street had gained a cultural and recreational role due to the gardens surrounding it, and gradually the modern functions such as the hotels, the theaters, the cafés, the cinemas, and the clothing stores were formed along it.
This street, which has valuable buildings such as Ettehadie House, Grand Hotel, Nasr Theater, Laleh Hotel, Cafe Pars, Rudaki Hotel, has been completely forgotten in recent decades and its valuable buildings are on the edge of destruction. If this process continues, we will see the destruction of one of the most important elements of Tehran's identity. All of these happening when nowadays there is lack of urban spaces and environmental spaces for social interactions in Tehran, especially in the central part of it.
It is our duty to take advantage of the remaining maximum use and to turn the threats into opportunities for the reproduction and survival of urban spaces.
