Each year, several earthquakes occur, which has led researchers to always look for an ideal system to deal with lateral loads. The use of a steel shear wall is a proposed system for dealing with lateral loads, but due to problems such as welding operations that increase the runtime and also due to the interaction of the shear wall with columns, in this model the columns are unwanted heavy and with sections Great were designed.
To this end, a new idea was called a semi-enclosed steel shear wall at the edges. This system creates a condition in the structure by which the vertical load system is roughly separated from the horizontal load system and the interaction of the two systems that was in the traditional steel shear walls was a problem and caused the sections of the side columns to be completely non- Economically minimized. In this system, the steel plate is connected to the sub-column because it does not play a role in the vertical load and only serves to create a field of tensile on the side of the side bar. The problems of this system, like the traditional one, are buckling, which is due to the field The tensile created in the sheet occurs. In this thesis, it has been attempted to investigate the optimal conditions in the design of semi-enclosed steel shear walls by changing the span, using hardeners and using the most optimal conditions.
