Nowadays, due to the easy access and high availability features, the mobile ad-hoc networks have been taken into consideration and tendency to use these networks is increasing. The mobile ad-hoc networks are sets of nods which can be dynamically forward anywhere, anytime and without using any sort of network. The speed of establishment and unstructured nature are the main factors that the ad-hoc networks play an important role in different areas such as military, emergency, natural disasters, research environments and urban areas, and are famous. These networks are exposed to more security attacks than the other ones, and are strongly vulnerable against the attacks. Therefore, the security topic in ad-hoc networks has become one of the main research challenges. In this research, the existing security challenges in the mobile ad-hoc networks have been reviewed. Among these challenges, the reliability and trust of the communication between the nods have been more considered. So a method for discovering stable and secure routes is proposed, in order to guarantee the valid transmission of the packets. In the proposed method, a secure and stable route, based on the trust variance of the existing nodes in a route is determined. It is proportional to the network conditions and networks behavior history. The simulation results indicate that show that the proposed method has a better performance, compared with the AOVD protocol and the trust-based method and provides a better security. The network performance parameters (criteria) such as delay, packet drop rate and throughput have been improved efficiently and effectively.
