Short circuite current is one of the major problem in electrical system. Despite the full observation of safty, occure of short circuite is inevitable. Development of electrical system and iscreseang usage of distributed generation cause higher fault level and more fault current. Passing of such high current needs stronge equipment to telerate and powerfull breakers to cut the fault current which force high cost to the system. Many method has benn offered to solve this problem which usage of FCL is one of the best.
Expensive FCL equipment and not costly efficense to instal FCL in every each one of lines, caused to attract attention for optimization of structure and location of FCL. In recent years, many study was accomplished about structure optimization of FCL and to determining the optimal location, number and size of this equipment. Most of the research was done to decrease the cost, improve system stability, more effectivity and increase reliability.
Generally, with optimization of FCL to determining the optimal location, number, type and size of this equipment with consideration of FCL's models and fault risk, in addition of positive effects, makes the installation of FCL more effectiveness.
