Today’s customers are highly conscious and alarmed about quality demanding the ultimate level of services from organizations. Companies and organizations are facing this predicament of how to satisfy their customers’ requirements increasingly while necessarily being forced to deduct the cost of production. Waste reduction is the soul approach to control costs and simultaneously appease the customers’ needs.This is the genuine meaning of Lean Six Sigma as a framed, focused and academic methodology of problem solving having used both a statistical and non-statistical tool-box, integrated with its sub-methods to almost eliminate waste up to maximum 3.4 defects per million opportunities while augmenting rates of production. In other words, these methodologies are an approach towards Quality Management. Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization abbreviated as IMIDRO is a staff company categorized as a service organization with its services mostly pivoting on development, technical and investment activities. Being fifteen-years old now, while still a young entity and despite achieving many of its goals successfully, IMIDRO has still a long way to maturity facing lots of external and internal obstacles. This study tries to assess if Lean Six Sigma could be smoothly implemented by IMIDRO and to determine before actual execution of the quality improvement method, the organization’s readiness level as one of the few governmental holding with private functionalities. This kind of study on the same organizations wasn’t observed in the literature and seems to be a novel study of its type. This study’s approach is to gather Critical Success Factors through literature review and from IMIDRO and analyze them statistically with the data gathering tool to be questionnaire. The results showed that the most important readiness factors are mostly shared between literature and this study. Furthermore, the readiness level of IMIDRO has been assessed as “mediocre with capacity to improve”. Meanwhile, a qualitative model has been introduced to enable other holding organizations qualify themselves by importing their own set of data to see if they can adapt Lean Six Sigma before really starting this costly methodology.
