Abstract:
in the modern era, economic development, globalization, and the competing circumstances have posed serious challenges to large-scale decision-making problems. By this way, supply chain management approach has been introduced as an effective tool for optimization and management of such a problem. Cross dock is a novel logistic approach which employs to decrease storing and piking (the most salient product pricing) and consequently the total costs.
Cross dock scheduling is one of the several cross dock problems where appropriate assign and defining the priority of loading and unloading trucks can lead to use the maximum capacity of the cross dock. on the other hand, exploiting the idle time for batching and packing would result in more value.
In this research assumed, products which are received to the cross-dock, inbounded and assigned to batches and each of them wouldn't assign to outbound trucks until the capacity completed. In this research firstly presented two mathematical models with most common cross dock scheduling objective function (minimizing makespan and earliness-tardiness) then introduced a model in order to minimize total costs consist of trucks delay, storing, less truckload and doors setup costs and finally due to the arrival time mostly is uncertainty. represented a roboust optimization model with the constraint of uncertainty for arrival time for each truck. The results show that some time model decides to store some of products in order to decrease the trucks delay cost and consequently the total costs.
