Abstract:
The streets are considered to be the vital elements of cities, some of which, in addition to taking on the important role of transportation, due to other features such as the existence of business units and cafes and restaurants, attractive monuments with unique architecture, cultural and religious activities on the street or nearby, and so on, are attractive for citizens and tourists. Considering the desirable urban design qualities can boost this and expand the occurrence of collective events that are compatible with such spaces.
In the present research, in order to achieve the tourism pathway with urban design qualities, the Case-Based-Reasoning (CBR) approach has been used. In this method, the designer using experimental reasoning and integrating it with specialized design look; by identifying similar samples that have already occurred in other urban spaces or in the case studies, tried to produce The database which used to responding other similar questions that are encountered in the process of reaching the goals of project. Due to the fact that many of the events that occur in urban spaces occur by people, this method in urban design leads to a greater focus on the interests of the public and users of the space.
Anousheh Street in Ahwaz, was chosen as the case study of research, because it was dedicated to the occurrence of many collective events and in some way is the case wich showing urban design by the people. In this regard, by examining the definitions, concepts and views of various theorists, the criteria and indicators of urban tourism pathway were extracted and by using the AHP methodology, a number of criteria were selected by the experts; these criteria were used to evaluate the quality of space in Anousheh street. So that, in order to use CBR, after studying the design experiences of pathway in such cases around the world and what people have done in Anousheh to responding their needs, A number of design solutions were extracted and from their integration with designing skills which resulting from academic knowledgements, the site was designed.
