School is a social sphere like family, and has effect on making social personality. We shouldn’t think that learning is not limited to school, rather it will continue during lifetime and also what a person will learn in her/his life can form part of her/his ability to adapt the environment because the foundation of life is based on learning talent. Therefore, the school is an important social center in new education methods. Where the children take a long time in there and become socialize that make them ready for larger community. Today, it’s a mistake to think that school is just classroom where children learn science. These days people of our country think that schools are places where have three component: teacher, classroom, student and education is often referred to teacher’s activities. In this way, the educational environment is not so different from places where keep soulless body and children aren’t allowed to move and have dynamic activity therefore they couldn’t improve their social relationship.
This study aimed to investigate the essential needs for educational environment by emphasising on children perception. So 70 children (7-11) years old from several primary school were asked to draw their ideal school yard and were interviewed individually afterward. Result of qualitative data from children drawing and interview text indicated that children preferred more natural element in their play setting, and location for gathering with their friends and play ground.
