In advanced organizations, human resources, as the main pillar of dynamic, play the most important role in achieving the goals of the organization and creating competitive advantage. Human resources gradually progresses in parallel to organizations, and move toward the upper classes of the Maslow Pyramid. Therefore, the application of management models based on encouragement and punishment through monetary and fiscal policies will gradually lose its influence to motivate them. Hence, in search of an motivation model not based on money and material incentives, it reveals a category called spirituality, and in particular, spirituality in the workplace, which is expanding and influencing organizations.
In this study, accomplished on the employees of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as one of the leading governmental organizations in the country, by using a survey method and a questionnaire, has been tried to investigate the effect of spiritual factors on employees' motivation. In this regard, while explaining the components of spirituality assessment, a model based on spirituality has been designed and presented for employee's motivation in which, in addition to the needs, the meta needs are also considered in the process of employee's meta-motivation.
The statistical population of this study was in terms of financial and welfare benefits at a desirable level, but for some reason, contraction policies were adopted in the organization, and when this research was carried out, the motivation of employees was influenced by these policies. From this perspective, this research can be considered innovative.
The results of this study showed that central bank staff are mostly in primary and secondary levels to meet their needs, the meta-needs are less important, and the motivational process in them is more exterior than internal. Also, the findings of the research have shown that the existence of spirituality, even in the external dimensions and at its low level, has a positive effect on the arousal of the employees of this organization.
