With the improvement of living standards of people, entertainment has changed accordingly. People pursue gradually more natural and pure forms of entertainment and picnic is a good choice. Experiencing the fun of life in the nature is an unchanging fashion. However, there are many problems in the picnic. Therefore, designing a product according to the needs of Iranian users is necessary.
The method used in this study is the pleasure-based approach that is used in Patrick w. Jordan’s book (Designing pleasurable products). Also, due to the necessity, quantitative and qualitative research methods are used.
In this regard, we first searched for the target group and identified the needs and characteristics of the users. Then, we gathered and analyzed data on the dimensions of the product, the height of the sitting and the color of the product. With regard to the data, some suggestions were given on the function and form of the product. The questionnaire was designed to quantify product pleasurability and finally, the results indicate that the design has been successful.
