The proposed project is going to be a building that it’s functions comprises of a complex of official, research and educational ones. In official sector the needed offices for this purpose are located. Beside the researches that are being done in this complex, another sector with the duty of education exists.
It is going to be endeavored that new technologies being applied on this building and exterior and interior form and applied ideas and technologies in the design of the complex have educational features.
The importance of studying on sustainable architecture is quite clear to everyone. Given the increasing growth of energy consumption in the world, and the shortage of fossil fuels resources and severe environmental pollutions due to their combustion, the necessity of reasonable; proper and optimal use of energy sources has been increased. Use of a renewable energy like wind for cooling the buildings, as one of the energy saving solution is discussed in this study. Today, in most of the developed countries, there are many research organizations which have investigated particularly natural ventilation and its effect on design and construction of a building for years, while in our country, despise of a successful, innovative and brilliant record of using this system, serious studies on using natural ventilation in the modern buildings and its supplies have not conducted yet. The literatures existing in this field, either had a descriptive and one-dimensional look at the past architecture, or been provided by mechanical engineers from a scientific, prospective and non-architectural perspective.
Therefore, in order to complete the topics needed for sustainable architecture, the present study discusses natural ventilation from an architect’s viewpoint. Therefore, this study investigates theoretical fundamentals required for and related to natural ventilation from the stage of decision-making on type of ventilation system to the stage of evaluating these decisions. First, the characteristics and principles governing manufacture of natural ventilation systems for cooling the buildings are studied, and then, by modeling general ideas for it, some methods will be presented for using natural ventilation of the air in warm seasons, which can be used in hot climates especially in hot and humid climates
(e.g. Kish County as a sample of a case study).
