Tourism is a modern global phenomenon and reflects the general development of society, and urban tourism as a key and accelerator for the development of cities in recent decades has been of great importance in research, and especially in the sector Economics brings many achievements. Therefore, every city that wants to develop tourism as the main branch of the economy, it must carefully evaluate its development capacities and compete with other cities to attract tourists.
According to the case study in this Research, despite the diverse tourism capacities such as historical, cultural and natural in Shahroud and Peri-Urban Precincts, there is no acceptable attention and As well as other deficiencies in the information, infrastructure and facilities needed by tourists. Therefore, the main issue of the research is to Upgrade and improve the existing situation in tourism in Shahroud and Peri-Urban Precincts, and further questions will be discussed: What should be the criteria for the distribution and allocation of related activities?,What is the impact of urban tourism development on the local economy?
How does it attract tourists?. Subsequently, the research objectives are explained, which can be used to identify the criteria for the distribution of tourism activities, identify the type of talent of indigenous residents and the environmental power of the area, as well as identify the type of demand for tourists. To this end, after the end of the theoretical base, the criteria and components of urban tourism were extracted which were used as the principles in the final section and the suggestions.
The present Research is of a practical nature, since it refers to the improvement of the urban tourism phenomenon in Shahroud, and part of the required data is obtained using library resources and metadata documents.Another point is that Ecological Capability in the Peri-Urban Precincts In order to take advantage of ecotourism activities was evaluated using the Makhdoom technique. After recognizing and introducing the scope, internal and external factors were evaluated and a type of aggressive strategic pattern was determined. Seven strategies were presented according to this type and strategies were evaluated using QSPM technique and priority of the strategies was determined. In the following, policies and action plans for the improvement and development of urban tourism in the study area are presented.
