The sense of community is one of the concepts that arises during a person's interaction with the place. Research shows that contemporary schools are a kind of proliferator of self-alienation, separation from others, and lack of sense of community, which causes individuals to participate less in the learning process through a sense of community. Many studies on this subject in open environments But this research has less scope for the enclosed learning environment. The purpose of this research is to provide strategies for designing a learning environment with the highest level of student sense of community.
Based on this, the present study, based on the approach of environmental psychology, seeks to explore the sense of community for the users of the enclosed learning environment. By nature, sense of community, part of the structure of this research is influenced by human aspects derived from the fields of psychology and sociology. Another part comes from the field of architecture and its impact on the perception of individuals. This research, following the review of the literature on the two areas of the typology of the educational environment and the sense of community, has led to the extraction of a theoretical framework for research. The domain of typology according to the geometric structure of the closed space was obtained from three linear, focused, and widespread types, and also in the domain of sense of community, the result showed that the sense of community with 5 indicators of sense of belonging and identity, security, interaction and social ties, community activity And the richness of the place is appreciated. Theoretical framework of research and indicators of sense of community were extracted using qualitative research method. Subsequently, the extracted indices were observed using the research method, and in three case studies, including Boouli, Alborz and Ali Mohammadi schools as triple species patterns namely linear, centralized and extended. Then, a questionnaire was used to survey them and among the 750 individuals in the statistical population, they were distributed among age groups (18-18 years old). Using the correlation method, the relationship between the characteristics of the enclosed learning environment as an independent variable and the sense of community as an associated variable was evaluated. Then, using the factor analysis method in this study, the data was rotated using the varimax method. The table of data matrix tables Specifically given rotation makes it possible to detect 12 factors in total. The results obtained in the form of strategies such as aggregation elements of individuals in the community space, social presence of students, design of memorable spaces of the community and places of dialogue, appropriate scientific activity in the community space, visibility and general supervision in the community space, attention to indigenous elements In the design of space and ultimately the flexibility of classroom space that will play a key role in creating the highest level of sense of community in promoting participation in the learning process.
