Abstract
This thesis is focused on the correction and optimize of the Samand taxi steering wheel. Considering the wide range damages caused by this specific part of the taxis, such as; Musculoskeletal and skin Complications for taxi drivers, car crashes and terrific jams, information collected in this research are collected by means of direct observation, oral interviews, videotaping, and written questionnaire of the user, taxi drivers. Each ideation process was done after different phases of information collection. The following project is accomplished by three different phases of redesigning based on user's feedbacks. Considering the usual approach in projects related to car interior design by industrial design students, it was meant to have more of a scientific and research-based and less of an emotional and aesthetic-based approach in this project and idealize and redesign just and only when there were sufficient reasons for it.
