With the advent of information technology in various fields of human life, the use of technology in various industries, including the aeronautical industry, has been accelerating and, like all modern technologies, the introduction and application of a new technology requires the establishment, research and management. The EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) , which has been in use in advanced countries from several years ago, has also entered the domestic airlines. This technology will help pilots to get the most out of the maps and instructions needed during flight, with higher speed in use and search and ease. Although the benefits of using modern technologies are clear to everyone, in many cases, the introduction of a new technology face with a resistance, in some cases users are not prepared, sometimes the lack of training, and sometimes the economic reasons hinder the deployment of new technology. All of these factors can prevent failures with sufficient research and insights before the implementation of the plan and during its implementation. Therefore, the successful implementation of this technology, which is the proper and continuous use of it to make the flight safer, depends on a number of factors that we have identified in this research to extract critical success factors in its implementation and then the ranking of these factors.
A three-step strategy has been used as follows: firstly, by studying and reviewing the theoretical literature and the history of relevant research. In the second phase, the validity of the conceptual framework was examined by a team of experts involved in the establishment of EFB in Zagros airlines. Finally, five main factors (technical and infrastructural factors, supporting factors, organizational and environmental factors, economic factors, Human factors ) and 25 sub-factors were identified as potentially influential factors in the deployment of EFB in the aviation industry. In the third stage, the identified factors were evaluated with a survey among 115 pilots of the Zagros Airlines Company. The data analysis by Confirmatory Factor Analysis showed that all identified factors in EFB deployment were significant. Among the main factors, the most influential human factors and the least impact on the technical and infrastructural factors.
