Abstract
One of the most important social and cultural potentials of the historical district of Sabzevar city is its citizen’s interest in and attachment to the Historical texture and its human and architectural identity. Also, its valuable historical monuments and passageways can inspire citizens to participate in revitalization plans for this texture and making these plans integrated.
One of the capacities of the historical textures of Sabzehvar is its monuments alongside the historical passageways with native architectural patterns and various usages. Different actions can be taken for the revitalization of the historical context.
Among the factors causing the degradation of the historical contexts of this city are: poor management of urban organizations, erosion of buildings, destruction and disintegration of the historical context of the districts, and construction of new buildings without any architectural values and unmatched by the historical texture.
In this study architectural, technological, environmental, political, economical, social, and legal aspects of the historical textures of Sabzevar are studied. Then, the executive plans done for the revitalization, integration and preservation of the city's heritage and the architecture of the Bayahgh crossroads and surrounding monuments were described.
Revitalization of the historical monuments and districts of Sabzevar can revive its structural and constructional cohesion and encouraging citizens participation can facilitate it.
