In this thesis, the dispersion relation of "Cherenkov free electron laser" will be analytically calculated by using two different guiding tools, i.e. "ion-channel" and "magnetic field in the presence of electric and magnetic self-fields". These two guiding tools will be employed either individually or simultaneously. It will be shown, if the ion-channel and the axial magnetic field are individually used, the growth rate increases by increasing of ion-channel frequency and cyclotron frequency, and when they are simultaneously used in designing of a Cherenkov free electron laser, no considerable (desirable) growth rate occurs. It will also be proved that when a magnetic field guide is applied in a perpendicular direction to waveguide axis, despite of some restrictions, we will see growth rate in this type of laser.
