In this project, several noncovalent and covalent functionalization of graphene and graphene oxide with various polymers, metals and metal oxide-based nanoparticles for preparation of graphene-based polymer nanocomposites were synthesized. For this purpose, some of polymers including polyaniline, polypyrrole, lignosulfonate, polyp-phenylenediamine and nanoparticles such as palladium and Fe3O4 have been used. Then, the prepared structures have been evaluated as efficient heterogeneous catalysts in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds through condensation reactions such as polysubstituted pyridines, 2-amino-4H-pyrans, benzimidazoles, 2,5-disubstituted tetrazoles and 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols derivatives and coupling reactions including biaryls and ethers derivatives. The benefits of present research include: Eco-friendly, high catalytic activity of catalysts, simplicity of procedures, green solvents and conditions, easy recovery and considerable reusability without significant loss of performance, low reaction times with high yields, easy work-up methods and absence of external base in coupling reactions.
