Nowadays, the topic of smart home along with the Internet of Things has become one of the most important issues in the field of Information and Communication Technology, That's why the vast majority of IT companies have invested heavily on this topic and are constantly developing more and more in this area.
Hence, one of the issues that arise in smart home topic is the energy talk used in these homes, which should also provide intelligent and optimal power consumption!
In this study, we will discuss about optimization of this energy by the z-wave communication protocol, and the benefits of this protocol, such as covering more space (both internal and external), the lack of frequency interference with other frequencies associated with Another protocols, good security for use of the best encryption algorithms and more. after comparing it with other protocols such as zigbee and explaining the operation of this protocol, we will conclude that Due to the superiority of the benefits of this protocol, it should be used in smart homes.
The z-wave protocol is a protocol that is currently being used by many smart appliances manufacturers. for this reason and given the importance of the smart home issue, it was neccessary to be carefully studied on it and improved performance in z-wave plus.
Finally, the results obtained in this study indicate that our method, in the security discussion of the protocol, which encrypts with strong algorithms such as AES and RSA, and in the discussion of the speed and accuracy of this protocol, which encryption How and when to avoid traffic and slow down is a better way to show better results in different indicators.
