Power dividers have wide applications, such as in electronics, communications and radar systems. Low-loss, wideband and miniaturized power dividers and other devices are particularly needed in various applications.The metasurface technology may be used to improve these characteristics .In this thesis, a power divider is proposed which consists of two side-by-side complementary metasurfaces and forms a line wave. The proposed power divider has a compact size, wide bandwidth, and low insertion loss. For the proof of concept, it is fabricated and tested. The simulation results and measurement data agree quite well. The implementation of the proposed power divider shows that the complementary metasurfaces may also be employed for the design of other devices in other regimes, such as integrated photonics, sensing, switching, chiral quantum couplings, reconfigurable waveguides and phase shifters.
