The presence of distributed generation resources in the future power grid of the future, given its many benefits, is undeniable. The connection of these resources with regard to the level of their production capacity is generally carried out in the distribution system. Because of this, this part of the network is generally protected by fuses and surge relays, and the connection of distributed generation sources to this part of the network changes the protection plan.
The main goal of this project is to coordinate the directional overhead relays by considering the two modes of network and island connectivity. Therefore, at the outset, the coordination issue in the sample network is investigated by modeling a realistic current error limitation and then examining the transient state of the interconnected interaction and the distributed generation sources. Due to the fact that most dispersed generation sources are currently small scale synchronous generators, this project focuses on these types of resources. In our country, the share of production of these resources is now more than other dispersed sources of production. In order to analyze the effect of restrictive behavior on the conservation coordination, the saturated core constraint, which is the most recent type of constraint, is fully modeled in this report. The limiting value and the limited installation location are obtained by optimization algorithms.
The analysis of the behavior of the synchronous generator during error will be discussed further and it can be seen that the type of stimulation system has a very important effect on transient behavior. By simulating the synchronous generator model with auxiliary coaxial excitation system, the coordination between the over-flow relays is examined and the effect of increasing the injection-current error in the output of the generator on the level of coordination of the relays will be presented. In the future, the coordination between the overhead flow relays is performed by the advanced MOPSO optimization algorithms with the aim of minimizing the time of the relay operation.
