Abstract
In this project, the history, theory, the complete introduction of tape casting and making slurry based on ceramic powder, solvents, deflocculants, binders, and plasticizers, which are the main components of slurry, will be thoroughly, investigated.
Then the design and manufacture of this machine was made. The machine has the ability to have different speeds. This has the ability to produce thin layers and thin-film coatings of varying thickness with a smooth surface.
Then, ceramic strips with thicknesses from 0.5 to 1.5mm were produced (of which two samples) by this machine at the speed of 50 to 70 mm/min. At three points of each sample with micrometers and roughness, the thickness and filtration level were recorded, and compared and its drawing was drawn as well as the roughness numbers of these surfaces. Ultimately, the applications of tape casting in the production of molten carbonate fuel cells layer’s were investigated. Ceramic strip with a thickness of 0.5 mm for the maniser if this fuel cell was produced and a sample of it after sintering, molding and polishing of it’s surface was metallographied.
The results of the metallography of this sample are identical to the resuits of the standard tables of molten Carbonate fuel cells in India.
