In this research, first, a multi-stage dynamic model with the control theory approach is proposed with the purpose of improving the supply chain resilience (SCRes). The information and goods flows between stages and delays that may exist in the process of announcing demand by customer to delivering goods to it is considered in the model. Furthermore, in each stage, stocking and processing the goods are possible. Based on the mentioned model, a mathematical multi-period multi-stage optimization model is proposed. This model can be used for Designing the resilient supply chain and determining its control parameters . Under the disruption, both the ways of redesigning the SC and using the already designed SC are applicable. Minimizaing the cost is considered as the objective function and resilience strategies are applied in constraints. So, the trade-off between cost and resilience is done in some way. Three numerical examples for designing the resilient SC are presented. Beside this, the supply chain performance under two disruptions, demand changes and capacity reduction is investigated. Finally, it should be mentioned that in chapter two some review tables of the SCRes literature are proposed and the research gap is discussed.
