Abstract
Growing population at big city and high demand for habitation in these city, has led to an unplanned expantion of construction and following that, high density in residential quarters and city spaces. The increasing demand for housing in cities has led to a rise in land and housing prices; which has led to a reduction in the average infrastructure of residential units, as well as reduction in purchasing power of residents. As a result of this, employment of many of the qualitative principles has lack at economic justification and employment them at architectural designs lead to a lack of maximum use of land and thus reducing the builder economic benefits. The most important of these issues is the provision of open spaces in homes private spaces. Due to the higher value of closed spaces and according to hasty benchmarking and without reflection of western patterns, the level of open spaces and semi-open spaces has declined in residential spaces, especially in apartment models, and builders are less likely to provide open space in units. The existing construction laws have also paid less attention to this issue and have not provided appropriate solutions for this shortcoming, as a result of the reduction of human contact with the natural environment, human psychological security has been put at risk and human health and energy have been greatly affected; therefore attention to open spaces and semi-open spaces in residential building is necessary. This thesis seeks to provide effective solutions for providing open spaces and semi-open spaces in residential buildings.
